Business Development /Account Manager - Automotive OEM 50,000 - 60,000 Basic + Bonus + benefits - Loughborough, Leicestershire

A global successful clean energy technology organisation are looking to bring in an business development/account manager specialist to join their automotive practice to be responsible for the business development activities and key account management across a range of OEM Automotive clients.

Key Accountabilities (tasks, duties, responsibilities)

Responsibilities and key activities include:

Delivery of top line revenue and order book to meet IE targets.

Plan create and close significant strategic deals with major Automotive OEMs through innovative approaches such as joint venture/licensing.

Closing multi million dollar deals from initial conception through to full contractual execution.

Develop pipeline of business opportunities that fit within the core business model of I.E. and the strategic market sectors.

Develop and maintain key strategic relationships through networking within governmental and commercial entities/trade bodies etc.

Key Account management of existing contracts to grow further existing customer relationships.

Representation on key industry and public sector/government/influencing bodies

experience working in the tier 1 arena developing business within the global OEM market

must be working for a company producing an "engineered product" or top level engineering consulting services for OEM automotive industry.

Skills

Proven aptitude for business, particularly on the commercial side. Excellent interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication.

Able to work independently and produce proposals and analyse complex problems and business cases.

Able to originate deals and take them through to contract.

Personal Abilities

Self starter with drive, tenacity and desire to take a leading role within the commercial team and the wider business. Able to work at all levels across the business from the technical side to commercial and at board level.

Able to initiate new business activities and gain support at the highest levels in the business and across business functions to take these through to contract.

Capable of identifying additional revenue opportunities within existing key clients and conversion of these opportunities to bottom line profit .
