Purchasing & Bid Support Administrator
We are recruiting for a Purchasing & Bid Support Administrator in the Leicester area.

Responsible for providing effective support, ensuring the needs of the business are met, and providing support to all Business Streams ensuring a timely and compliant bid submission.

Responsibilities
Receipt and review of purchasing requisitions to ensure minimum criteria has been met, return incomplete requisitions for amendment and resubmission
Assess approved requisitions and determine source of supply
Facilitate new supplier creation when required
Create purchase orders
Issue the purchase order to the requisitioner with supporting detail.
Create purchase order receipt upon notification of receipt of goods/services
Liaise with requistioners, Finance, Shared Services and suppliers to amend or cancel purchase orders, create receipts or returns
Archive PORs and supporting email information.
Act as the initial contact point and provide support and purchasing advice as required
Identifying suitable funding opportunities across all regions and relevant business streams and update CRM of all opportunities details and information
Collate all relevant documents for bid submission
Ensure all bids are submitted on time and are compliant
Arrange Launch Meetings, ensuring all relevant documents are sent out on time
Issue NFL number to all tender opportunities and liaise closely with Finance
Updating the Bid Calendar on a weekly basis
Efficiency in creation of purchase orders from approved requisitions
Evidenced reduction of invoice queries
Efficient and timely management of incoming queries from internal and external customers
Meeting bid deadlines on time
Ensuring all bid documentation is accurate, compliant and auditable

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A good understanding of purchasing and financial practices
Experience of working within an administrative role
Experience of working to measurable targets and deadlines
Demonstrable high level of customer focus and satisfaction
Ability to communicate with and influence both internal and external customers
Good understanding of Microsoft Office tools
Good organisational skills with the ability to use own initiative and manage own workload
